On Sunday December 11, 2011, the Frackville Recreation Board will once again host their annual Christmas Parade
and Santa and friends meet and greet. The parade will begin through town featuring Santa Claus and a host of your favorite cartoon friends. The parade will feature only trucks and a Christmas trolley. No walking groups will be involved. The parade will circle around most streets in town starting at 2:00pm.
Immediately following the parade, festivities will begin at the Frackville Borough’s Community Center on Center and Oak Streets. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to greet all children with gifts and photo opportunities for parents. Live holiday music will be provided by Tony Kurdilla and the Lehigh Avenue Band. Along with Santa, a host of kid’s favorite characters will be roaming the crowds meeting with kids and celebrating the holidays.
Free light refreshments will be available for all to enjoy including hot dogs, hot chocolate, milk, and cookies. Any local business wishing to donate to the festivities can contact board members at 874-1097 or 874-0138.
