Fee to register is $7.00. Deadline for registration is Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Any registrations received after that date will not be included on the maps. Registrations are also available and can be dropped of and maps of all registered sale addresses will be available at Musicraft, Compact Sweeper, or the Frackville Library.

Each yard sale participant MUST pick up their supplies on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Musicraft from 3pm-7pm. Balloons, additional maps, and official yard sale signs and balloons will be provided.

The yard sales will begin and end at the seller’s discretion. Typically more than 80 register for this event. If you have any questions, please call Kim 570-874-4577.

Program Rules:
To be eligible to be the Frackville Veteran of the Month, submit a 500 word essay that details the Veteran’s Frackville connection, military history and any other accomplishments. A 5 x 7 photo (preferably military photo) must be submitted. Submissions can be made on behalf of living or deceased veterans.

Veteran MUST meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Have a Frackville connection
• Be married to a present or former Frackville resident
• Been born, raised or retired to Frackville
• Have attended a Frackville school
• Have worked, or owned a business in town

Examples:

My father, Anthony Kurdilla, retired to Frackville after 20 years in the military service, He owns the business Musicraft in Frackville. He did……

My Uncle Donald Dillman, born, raised and resides in Frackville, he served x years in the Air Force, He was a member of Borough Council for x years and served as a Borough Council President for x years. He did…..

My Uncle Albert Dillman was born and raised in Frackville and presently resides in Luzerne County. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from x to x. He was a medic and he did……

Everyday we lose more and more of our beloved veterans and soon the greatest generation will only be a memory in the textbook. Every one of our military personnel dedicates their lives for the well-being and safety of our country. We, as Frackville citizens, can and will honor and remember our Veterans and their courageous sacrifices.
